It was a dominating performance by the Campbell County girls at the WHSAA Class 4A meet. The Camels scored in all but two events, led by junior Kelly Moodry who won the 200 meters (25.25) and 400 meters (56.71) and finished second in the 800 meters (2:16.36).

However the star of the 4A girls meet was Jackson senior Anna Gibson. She won the 800 meters (2:11.49), the 1,600 meters (4:48.14) and the 3,200 meters (11:11.24). She also anchored the winning 4x800 relay that finished in 9:48.18.

On the boys side, Kelly Walsh came away team winners behind the 1-2 finish of seniors LaMont Frisby and Jared Spaulding in the 100 and 200 meters. Frisby won both in 10.96 and 22.26, respectively, while Spaulding finished in 11.07 and 22.48, respectively.

The Laramie boys came close to the state record in the 4x400 relay, but just missing by 0.22 seconds with their time of 3:20.29.

Leila Martinez, the junior from Evanston Senior, won the 4A girls triple jump with a best of 39-10.25.

In the 3A boys competition, Star Valley swept the top three spots in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meters, as well as winning the 4x800 relays, providing a great foundation for a dominant win in the team champioship with 165 points.

Logan Harris, a senior from Torrington, won the 3A boys shot put with a mark of 63-8.5, the best mark of the weekend, and the discus with a throw of 155-9.
